Hosting a food drive is one of the most impactful ways to support the Emergency Community Food Pantry of Franklin County.
Whether through your workplace, school, church, or civic group, every can collected and every box donated brings hope to a neighbor in need.

How to Get Started

Starting a food drive is simple and meaningful:

  1. Choose your location — your office, church, school, or neighborhood.

  2. Pick your dates — one day, one week, or a month-long collection.

  3. Spread the word — we can provide flyers, posters, and social media templates.

  4. Deliver your donations — bring collected items to the Food Pantry during open hours.

Most Needed Items

  • Canned meats (tuna, chicken, salmon)

  • Peanut butter and jelly

  • Canned fruits and vegetables

  • Soups, stews, and chili

  • Pasta, rice, and boxed dinners

  • Cereal and oatmeal

  • Shelf-stable milk and juice

Every donation makes a difference, especially items that help families prepare complete and nutritious meals.

Group and Community Drives

Businesses, schools, churches, clubs, and neighborhood associations are encouraged to host food drives together.
Friendly competition between departments or classrooms can help multiply donations and make it fun for everyone involved.

After Your Drive

Once your food drive is complete, contact our volunteer coordinator to schedule a delivery or pickup time.
If you prefer, you can also make a financial donation so we can purchase high-need items in bulk at lower cost.
